About Sabiha

about-me

Sabiha Pasha M.D.

Sabiha Pasha, M.D., is board certified in Internal Medicine (1995), Hospice and Palliative Care (2008), and Integrative Medicine (2010). She has been in practice for more than 21 years, the last 16 in San Diego. She currently practices as a hospitalist at Palomar Health, where she is also the Medical Director of the inpatient palliative care service. She is also current Chief of Staff elect at Palomar Medical Center Escondido.

She has previously served as the Medical Director of the CEP hospitalist program and chair of the multispecialty peer-review committee at Palomar Medical Center Poway, which she gave up in 2016 to focus on her passion to provide holistic care to patients.

In her interactions with patients at the hospital, she always offers a holistic interpretation of their illness, if they desire one. Acknowledging the whole person-- body, mind, and energy-- rather than just treating a diseased organ, is at the core of her patient care philosophy.

Sabiha grew up in Pakistan, where she finished her medical education. She came to the United States in 1992 and completed her residency in internal medicine at the Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. She practiced primary care for several years in rural Mississippi, before moving to San Diego. She has one son finishing college. She enjoys the outdoors, whether it is the beach, or hiking in nature. She is happiest reading and learning. She is an amateur painter and maintains her sanity through the practice of yoga and meditation.
